Luxury companies are struggling nowadays to hold true to the real meaning of luxury.
So what is luxury?
World English Dictionary defines luxury as:
| luxury | |
| — n , pl -ries | |
| 1. | indulgence in and enjoyment of rich, comfortable, andsumptuous living |
| 2. | ( sometimes plural ) something that is considered an indulgence rather than a necessity |
We at Adiree argue that luxury is more than an indulgence…we love it, and it’s what we’re all about. Our motto, Luxury Brands Focused Globally, is what we’re trying to promote. If you’re looking for a hard-working public relations firm that takes your luxury business seriously and promotes it to grow your fan/follower base to be marketed worldwide, we are just what you’re looking for. Adirée™ is an International full service boutique based in New York, NY with a focus on
fashion, beauty, art and home decor. Let’s work together and keep the luxury alive.
Help our client “Get on the Shelf”–a contest put on by Walmart. LcB Nail Lacquer has been entered into this contest and the Adiree team is in full support of this! We need your help and support to get their product out in the stores, as this is a HUGE opportunity for them. You can vote once a day everyday, just follow this link and vote through your Facebook profile AND with a simple text message!
With 90 million users and counting, Google+ is worth paying attention to. Although it’s been a few months since its release, people are not using the social network to its full potential. Google is one of the top search engines on the internet, and using Google+ for business purposes can help customers find your company faster and easier, because +1 links may rank higher in search results. It also increases visibility and web presence as well. As previously mentioned, the 90 million users makes Google+ a good-sized network; but nevermind this, because what’s more important than a strong and growing network is the ability to share with followers. Google+ makes sharing easy with their +1 button located on some sites.

Although we’re a luxury-focused company, we here at Adiree have a soft spot for the Kony 2012 campaign that’s going on right now. Being one of the most motivating videos on the web right now, this documentary aims to make Joseph Kony famous not for celebratory purposes but rather raise awareness of his existance and support his arrest and set a precedence for international justice.
Take a break from your life of luxury to look at the not-so-luxurious happenings in Uganda.

Some marketers aren’t getting the results they expect from investing in social media. Why? They’re not using it the right way. Before jumping to conclusions that social media is a waste of time, as a public relations company we’re learning how to use it in the most beneficial way possible. First things first, social media offers a bigger market for companies to place their products. What to do about this? Strut your stuff. Putting your company’s image and products best foot forward is the best thing you can do to promote the company. Watch out, however, because although you’re putting your best stuff out there, so are your competitors! Following tastemakers on social media platforms for the field you’re working in is also an amazing way to keep up with the latest in marketing and products. Be sure to hold to your image though so that your company can stand out alongside the competition.
Want-Need-Love. Wanelo. A site a little like pinterest but more specialized and focused for shoppers instead of bloggers. Deena Varshavskaya created the website with intentions to allow women to follow and share to others as they shop online. The story behind the company in Varshavskaya’s own words: “I was thinking about alternatives to advertising, because I think advertising just fails to deliver relevance. So, Wanelo is all about creating relevance in shopping.”
The Adiree Team has looked over the site and we think Wanelo can make it big. The fact that it allows you to save and share pictures from sites you can actually buy from is awesome because designers can use the site to market their collections and individual pieces online, because online shopping is becoming so prevalent with the newer generations of fashionistas.
It is absolutely a necessity in this digital day and age to keep up with the times, modernize your company, and also make it as available as possible. THE SHOW in South Africa is a wholesale trade show that takes place in Cape Town and serves as an important chance for designers in South Africa. Not only does the bi-annual event produce networking opportunities in person, but also online. The site, which hosts designers and their showrooms, gives buyers and retailers the option to see a designer’s showcase at any time. This increased availability provides easy access for buyers wanting to source from a selection of South African designers.
Knowledge of websites like these is great for people with their own lines and collections trying to make it big. It’s awesome to see success come from Africa out of things like this because they’re keeping up with the times and able to market themselves in the more Western world.
Pinterest was launched in the early spring of 2011 but only recently began gaining popularity in the last half of 2011. Total visits exceeded 17 million in January of this year. The majority of the site’s members are women under the age of 45, and most pinned topics focus on fashion, food, décor, crafts, and wedding planning. Like other social media sites, Pinterest members, called “pinners” are encouraged to follow and “repin” their friends’ and other tastemakers’ pins.
Use of this site is worth checking out as a new marketing tool, especially if your company’s target audience are women between the ages of 24-45. Products knowledge and brand promotion are two useful functions of Pinterest. As the site grows, the appeal is likely to expand demographically.
Opening its first South African store in Sandton proved to be an extraordinary idea for Spain’s Inditex Group, Europe’s largest fashion retailer. Just three months after it opened in November, the company has already announced plans to open a second Zara store in South Africa outside Durban at the Gateway Shopping Center. The first Zara store is located at the Sandton City Shopping Center, and opened with much fanfare, which led to the idea. The company has said of its plans: “Zara’s South African customers will find a revamped store image, with display areas and furnishings designed to convey a sense of simplicity and elegance.”
