Celebrities from first lady Michelle Obama in Africa Designer Duro Olowa to beyonce and Kelis wearing Lisa Folawiyo (Jewel by Lisa) are supporting African Designers through wearing their garments.

Celebrities are even wearing these African designers on the red carpet, or Kourtney Kardashian wearimg Johan Coetzee to the People’s Choice Awards; Their teenage younger sister Kendall who has just started doing editorial modeling, also wore shorts by Jewel By Lisa.

Stars of movies such as “For Colored Girls”, “The Princess and the Frog” selected Nigerian designer Deola Sagoe to wear to the BET Honors event.

Studio D’Maxsi of Africa Fashion Week in New York,  dressed Celebrities in L.A. such as: Ms. Carolyn Malachi, Grammy nominee artist for the 2011 Grammy’s in LA, producers and engineers wing party, and Mrs. Evelyn McKinney, wife of Mr. James McKinney (music producer) for the 54th Grammy awards in LA, 2012.

What these celebrities are doing through wearing authentic African Designs in that it is coming straight from African Designers is bringing attention to the luxury and beauty that is African Fashion.

We can not wait to see celebrities in our designers from  Africa Fashion Week. : )
