1. Work backwards: Putting a huge task to accomplish at the top of your to-do list is quite possibly the easiest way for you to never get it done. Start small and beak down the steps to what you have to do to reach that goal so you can lay out the framework and work towards your final goal.
2. Stop multi-tasking: Switching back and forth between projects slows you down and allows your brain to wander. It is better to focus on one task at a time so you can systematically go through your list and give each task the full attention it deserves.
3. Be militant about eliminating distractions: Lock your door, put your cellphone away, ask your co-workers for some time free of distrubances so you can focus on the task at hand.
