A Penny for Luxury Design

Megan Isaacs has done what some would think to be nearly impossible, taken something that is nearly valueless and making it into a piece of luxury jewelry.  Forbes Magazine has declared Isaacs’ Penny Necktie its item of the day.  The designer, who showcased her high-end, luxury designs during AFWNY 2010 and has since been featured in Elle Magazine and had her designs worn by celebrities on Gossip Girl, was inspired by the rising cost of metal and simultaneous penny debate (how a penny costs more to make than its face value).  Adiree, the parent company of AFWNY, led by Director Adiat Disu, reached out to Forbes knowing that Isaacs designs would be the perfect fit for this particular publication creating.  Disu has “coined” her brand as culturally luxurious and creative.
